Experience since 1970 in the design and construction of vacuum systems for the glass and processing tools industry.
The systems for the glass industry and processing tools (and abrasive tools) made by BRIZIO BASI use multiple technologies including:
- High temperature sulfur treatment;
- Vacuum impregnation with liquid sulfur;
Among the various technologies used by Brizio Basi in the glass and metal finishing tools sector, there is also the vacuum impregnation (VPI).
Each plant is designed by BRIZIO BASI engineers according to the customer’s needs, and is entirely built in our factory.

Impregnation plants with sulfur
In the production of glass products, special abrasives are used to finish the surfaces and edges, these abrasive tools called superfinishing stones are produced in various grain sizes, the grains that form the abrasive use a ceramic binder to hold the grains and a lubricant such as sulfur which is made to absorb by the piece with a high temperature vacuum treatment. A sliding film is formed between the abrasive stone and the workpiece. This has the following advantages:
Surface finishes’ better quality
Less wear of the abrasive stone
Better chip discharge

Impregnation plants with sulfur, automated version with PED autoclave
Impregnation plant with separate tank 250 LT capacity, adjustable temperature from 0 to 200°C, maximum vacuum 0.5 mbar, maximum pressure 3 Bar.
The plant employs liquid sulfur and is used to impregnate edging tools for glass industry.
The plant uses workpiece carriers buckets, it is full computerized for cycles and recipes and it is Industry 4.0 compliant.
